Your natural state when you are a newborn infant is one of perfect acceptance because you have not yet connected to the concept of judgment. In this innocent state, a child is open to all experiences. If the human brain could be born in a more developed state, it would probably result in an absence of self-judgment and would automatically lead to total self-acceptance and self-awareness. And all would be well!
It is perhaps an unfortunate result of evolution that the human species is unique among mammals in that we are born with an underdeveloped brain that takes up to two years outside the womb to develop body motor skills like walking and running. This 'premature birth' is a result of our comparatively large craniums and the fact that humans have rather quickly evolved from quadrupeds to bipeds, an evolutionary fact that has narrowed our hips and therefore necessitates an early birth process in order to allow physically, that we actually fit through the birth canal. Compare this with for example, a foal which is born, stands and runs through pastures with its mother on the same day and you'll get the picture. But that's only the physical reality. Humans are far more than body and instinct.
It's too bad that we can't simply remain inside our mothers' while our amazing brains finish developing. But instead, we spend over a decade or more, depending on which part of the brain you reference, to fully develop. During that time, we are subject to all manner of social-societal 'fear-stimuli'. This introduction of environmental and sociological programming triggers or wakes up the survival mechanism in the brain known as the 'Ego' and it is this unique characteristic of humans that causes us to develop in a seemingly preordained way. It's as if we are born as a clean, empty glass and we are filled to the brim with liquid that stains us from the first drop. Our healthy development as adults depends on how aware we become of our pure essence or energy and our ability to rid ourselves entirely of the stains caused by the murky influence of the human experience that surrounds us.
The moment that we connect with this imposed hurt and fear in our body, we become our body or 'Ego Self'. Our perspective automatically becomes very real to us because the pain is very real. So, back to the the concept of judgment; When we are in pain, we judge ourselves as unworthy; otherwise, we would not be feeling pain. The moment we connect with a sense of unworthiness and all it's variations like; I am not good enough, or smart enough, or this enough or that enough, - we attract or create the experiences that affirm this belief of unworthiness. These energy patterns play out until the pain either helps us to take responsibility for our creation or we transfer our feelings of unworthiness to different, equally self-limiting behavior over and over again.
Patterns such as these are are set early in our childhood development and can become the energy dynamics of our lives and greatly influence behaviour for the future. This is also why the study of behavioral DNA, otherwise known as eugenics has been largely if not entirely discredited. We are all victims of our environments - physically, emotionally, experientially and spiritually. These are the influencers that negatively affect our human health and development. The concept that genes somehow predetermine our experience is simply untrue, so stop using your parents as an excuse. It simply does not wash. All the problems in your life are a direct result of your feelings of unworthiness and those were caused by circumstances you had little control of while your perception of your existence was developing. Identify those people and circumstances who 'messed' with your head, forgive them, forgive yourself for falling into the trap and graduate to a greater awareness of the unlimited energy that resides within you. - A.N.
